Cloak of Protection 5e is a Wondrous Dungeon and Dragon (DnD 5e) Magical Item that is uncommon and requires attunement. You gain a +1 bonus to AC and saving throws while you wear this cloak.
The Cloak of Protection does virtually the same function as the Ring of Protection. Both Dungeons and Dragons Mystara items give +1 to Ac and +1 to Saves. One is rare, the other is uncommon. The funny aspect of it is that you can only have one Cloak of Protection, however, you can have 2 Rings of Protection.

Why is this Cloak of Protection an uncommon item?
Based on other magical artifacts and their rareness, it seems that they should be rare: the Ring of Security is mechanically similar and rare. The only possible advantage of the ring over the cloak is that a person can wear multiple rings, but not multiple cloaks.
Armor, +1 is less than the Cloak of Security, offering just +1 to AC. It’s unusual, too.
Notably, Shield, +1, which also gives +1 to AC, is odd.
A +1 bonus to AC seems more powerful than a +1 bonus to attack (all +1 weapons are unusual) and having +1 to save throws makes an object like the Cloak of Defense much more powerful. I would have house-ruled this to be a rare thing, and I would also consider making +1 shields rare.
